Default Possible Paint Issue!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a really light spot on the right rear bumper edge where it meets that rear quater panel running across the whole seam on my 2012 GT. It seems like the rear and front bumper have a yellowish hue compaired to the rest of the car too...it is performance white. has anyone seen a similar problems!

Thanks to govt mandates EPA blah blah blah. The the quality of paint isn't what it used to be. Take it in and hopefully they will help. They should. Paint shouldnt discolor in one years time.

Car is one week old but I was looking on dealer websites at 2012 perfromance white 5.0s and I would say most of them have a very slight yellowish hue to the front and rear bumper. I don't know if it the paints reaction to the plastic or they were painted in a diffrent paint line... I am OCD with my paint...idk if I should accept it or make a big deal about it..

Plastic bumpers never really match the rest of the car, except for dark colors.
Been that way for a while now.
Flex additives in soft plastic parts are part of the problem...

Mine is the same way. I hate it but fear more problems if I try to have it fixed.

very common problem - especially on lighter colors, and white in particular. damn plastic bumpers and epa paint regulations

unless its terribly different I would just live with it.

I have a 2010 PW and the Plastic bumpers are off a shade too.
My rear bumber was hit and was re-done in a body shop.
The coloring came out the same as the Factory. Like the other guys said
light color cars espically white seem to have this issue. Look at the brighter side, white hides a lot of sins that black don't !
