I had a 2005 Mustang and got the windows tinted. Was not aware of the mole skin at the time of tinting, so it got scratched to hell. Now I have a 2010 and was wondering how the tint holds up on the new models. Do you need mole skin for 2010 and up? Has anyone tinted there windows (2010 and up) without mole skin?

 

My '11 GT/CS is doing fine after 2 years of use.

 

My understanding was that this was resolved with the 09 model.
No issues here with my 12 after a year with tint

I just had mine done... I'll keep an eye on it. I know I haven't heard of any or seen any problems with my friends 2011 and 2012s.

 

Had it done on my 08 for about a year now... I doubt this is a problem with the newer body style, especially if it's fixed for the earlier body style S197s.
