HPX vs HID

HPX vs HID
I'm probably not the first guy to ask this.
I had HIDS in my stang last year but I took them out and went back to halogen because they were becoming a pain. I have DRLs so I had to get a relay and a capacitor to maintain full brightness. The + wire in the capacitor kept coming loose making the bulbs flicker.
I'm thinking about trying HPX bulbs. Obviously they won't be as bright as HIDs, but my main question is do they have any other known issues like short life or causing damage to wiring? I found some info on HIRs but nobody seems to have them in H13. I was also looking at the higher wattage bulbs like the Nokya Stage 2, which are supposed to be safe with a ceramic harness, but I'm worried about overloading the alternator or melting the housing.
I'm kind of thinking out loud at this point. What are your opinions?
