Default Flat Black Vinyl Stripes-Wash and Care Tips

Hi everyone, it's been a long time since I've posted here but I'm looking forward to learning about my new car all over again.

I traded in my 07 last week for a '14 (V6, manual) and it's my first car with vinyl racing stripes.

They're matte black and I'm wondering if there is anything I should know about washing and caring for them to make sure they maintain their look. I've read that Turtle Wax Ice Spray Detailer works well on flat black, would I wash the car the way I normally do then apply the product to the stripes?

Thanks for reading guys, I've attached a pic of the new project:

Nice mustang man! I believe I have the same vinyl stripe on mine same color (sterling grey) mines a '13 but yea don't wax or clay bar the vinyl strip everything else is fine I use Maguire's interior detailing cause its safe on vinyl a lot of detailer cleaners work as long as they say safe for vinyl use Turtle's detailer works pretty well.

Thanks, man. So when you say don't wax the stripes you mean don't use a liquid solution with a buffer, just use a spray with a lint-free cloth?

Or paste with any kind of buffer at least for the stripes, I try to avoid any kind of spray wax on the vinyl unless its a detailer that is safe for vinyl, but yea a spay detailer or maguires interior detailer would work fine with a lint free cloth. Just make sure the detailer is safe for vinyl they usually have what is applicable on the bottles like it would say safe for plastic trim rubber weather striping vinyl etc...
