Default V6 now or wait?

So I'm thinking about ordering the new V6 Premium mustang (pony package, glass roof, navi, kitchen sink) but I hear talk of a new engine next year.

Would it be better to wait? Patience isn't one of strong points but if its going to make a huge difference I'll wait.

Thanks

Argh I am in the EXACT same position as you. Im like ripping my hair out idk what to do. The new engine is supposed to have much more HP, be lighter, and more fuel efficient. But i dont know if its going to be as reliable as the v6 in it right now.
I dont know what to do!! I don't know how long I have to wait for the 2011 to come out..

So far my brother and friends say to wait and see. Maybe I can save up a bit more and get a GT (I hate car payments so don't want to take out a loan to cover it).

your coming from an 06 gt. I dont think you will be as happy with the v-6. I would either wait or get a GT.

If I was you I would honestly wait. From the articles that I read it seems as if Ford will really replace the engine in the V6 and the GT and give them a lot more hp. "Ford will be replacing the old 4.0 liter SOHC V6 in the Mustang with a new high-reving 3.7 liter 24-valve DOHC mill. Its pretty much very similar to the Lincoln MKS engine. In the Lincoln, the same exact Duratec DOHC 24-valve aluminum V-6 cranks out 273 hp @ 6250 rpm with 270 lb.-ft. of torque @ 4250 rpm." However remember that the MKS is front wheel drive. Also rumor says that the 2011 Mustang GT is getting a 5.0 liter 400hp engine.

Heres a link for the 2011 Mach 1 rumor:

I would say if can wait the about 14-15 months for the 2011's to get here, it should be worth it.
That is if all the rumors of new engines are correct.

I agree with others, you won't be happy going to the current V6 from the GT. I think the 2010 's are a sweet evolution of the car, but they should have done the new V6 with the introduction of the 2010 - that would have raised some eyebrows.
I would buy the GT or wait.
