2011 v6, NEW,,WOW,,fast
Hey all
Just got my 2011 black on black v6. Had a 2006 v6 once. All I can say is it is fast. Very impressed. However am thinking of supercharging it. Does anyone know who makes a supercharger for the 2011 model v6?

IDK, i guess i just hyped it up too much and expected to be blown away and just wasn't that's all. Going from the 4.0 to the 3.7 is much more of a jump I think......this is comparing my modded 4.6 to the 5.0 though
Did you get a stick or an auto? What rear gears?
The only 2011 Mustang I haven't driven is the V6 manual but I bet it is a blast to drive. I was very disappointed with the shifting of the auto tranny in both the 3.7 & 5.0 stock which was the same for the 5 speed auto behind the 4.0 V6. I fixed that with a reprogram of the tranny so the new tranny shifting should be an easy fix.
When you get the 3.7 into the upper rpms it's easy to forget you are driving a V6. I've driving some older stock Corvettes that didn't pull as hard. Very impressive car & what's not to like about a black Mustang other than keeping it clean.
And this is how internet rumors get started....
I don't know for sure, but I would be willing to bet that that is NOT a true statment. I dont see how a larger displacment, more advanced motor would make less hp and tourque lower in the RPM band. All things being equal (ie the 4.6 and the 5.0 being naturally asperated) the 5.0's powerband should start higher and stay higher throughout the RPM band.
If this IS true I would be shocked, and I would be hesitant to beleve it until I saw a dyno sheet.

Don't think so...

250lbs at 2000 rpm, I don't think the 4.6 is close to that.
