Decel vibration
hogasswild had a post on another thread and had something interesting that jumped out at me
"The powertrain ECU has been upgraded with a very aggressive deceleration cylinder shutoff for fuel economy, coupled with very rapid tip-in for street performance."
could this be the reason maybe we feel that unusual shutter, like a semi braking using the motor..just a thought, but could be a reason?

I have 1200 miles and felt this shudder the first time last night. Had to get on it a little harder than usual in 3rd and backed off fairly quickly to make a turn and it shuddered like a woman on a horse !
So I see from reading here no has this figured out yet.

how much vibration are we talking about? Mine vibrates when decelerating while in gear but its by no means violent enough to break anything. Most of the time I switch to neutral when coasting to a stop anyway.

Yes that is what most of us feel, Ford does say all normal, they talk anything from dual mass flywheel to engine cylinders shutting down as a feature, I feel in the stick, but you can also get rid of it if you tap the gas pedal real fast too...if breakdown within 5 years it's on them though..

my car still vibrates bad enough at times to shake steering wheel, and feel in seat, its like having a mustang with t-5 in it that you put to much power to it,the case of the trans flexs and major vibration happens.i had an 86 that would do this.just an example.the vibration is by no means normal.makes me wonder what its doing to rest of car.but still love stangs
