vibration

Default vibration

i have 2011 stang v6,getting extreme vibration on decelaration at different rpms,dosnt happen all the time,but when it does its like 10 times worse than normally felt in shifter,any one else have same issue, my car has 6spd manual

yes, sometimes I get a slight decell shudder in 3rd around 3000rpm. But i only feel it through the shifter, not really through the wheel or seat.

It hasnt bothered me enought to get it checked, and it doesnt do it every time.

I have 3.31 gears btw... Factory option.

Question vibration

yes mine has that shudder,mainly 2nd and 3rd,but it gets bad enough to feel in the seat and hear it 3000 miles on my car

i get the same exact thing... its going to the dealer to see whats up...seems like something in the clutch or trans

your shifter vibrates because its a direct link to the transmission. Cars will always have some shudder when decelerating through certain RPMs.

wow was going to google this samething, thought was me, but yep around 2500 to 3000 3rd gear does samething,and it doesnt do it every time I have 3.31 6 spd ..also does when decel. too, if you go to dealer post up cause I traded my 5spd 2010 GT in for this v6 and had a roush shifter and never had vibration, so was wondering if something to do with electronic tranny which is new, seems that would have same linkage , maybe a slight change due to adding another gear? I know a short throw shifter not coming from roush anytime soon talking to roush other day, they are still about 4 weeks out on R&D on the short throw for the 5.0 and not even looking at a v6 one yet, so maybe the shifter on these '11 v6's are different than say the '10 setup.

ya i talked to ford enginier and he said the vibration is within design parameters.i think he is crazy,the vibration i get at times shakes hole car.i think its something to do with the dual mass flywheel ,i think more people will be complaining about this the more cars they sell,still love the stangs though,got roush stripe kit commin for mine

v6 and v8 have the same transmission

Where can I get more info on the flywheel? What does dual mass mean? I think theres too much flywheel effect on this car anyhow, and its something I want to change.
