For a few weeks now, I have been anxiously awaiting American Muscle to update their V6 build. The last I heard they had gained about half a second with a tune only on their V6 A/T w/2.73's. I thought they were researching CAI's and such also. Would AMChrisRose have info for us?

As an owner of a 2011 V6 M/T, I feel a little left out in the upgrade area right now. I'm waiting for a tune and CAI that they would "endorse." The options are so limited right now.

Any info for us V6'ers?

if you go to afm forums they updated that.

he dynoed it with the 93 tune. also with a c&L intake.

At this point the C&L intake was only good for a few HP gains and it even caused a loss in torque.

So for now the intake to wait for is the JLT, which we hope to be out soon and find out true gains.

Tunable Induction is also going to work on one for us, but that wont' be till later later this year.

Right now, i recommend just buying the tune and a K&N drop in filter.

also save up for some headers, assuming they do live up to the rumor of around 20HP+ gains with no tune.

If AM need a MT v6 for anything I would be glad to help out...Heck if they really want to I can let them borrow it for 6-7 months come june...Maybe even earlier. Ill be in Afghan.

@a_guerrajr: Thanks for the info. I think I saw that but wasn't that the GT's 5.0? I did see the video from YouTube about their track runs but they've been pretty quiet about the progress of the V6 tune they're working on.

I'm just antsy to fix up my Mustang as it is parked for the winter and am dying while not being able to drive it. At least I can oogle it as whenever I go into the garage! (My last car was stored for the winter in a barn.)

JLT has already tested on my car. Just waiting on the intake at this point. Jay said end of the month.
