Thanks....what I actually like is when i drive now, with the extra leverage, it's like sticking rod down in a butter tub and shifting lol...i love the ease..

WRX...See the one pic where you don't see the tape, the issue is the boot slides down, so i slid down as far as til stopped...thus the space where the tape makes look a little better than a big gap....so with that said I think the plan is I find like a 1/2 " piece of pipe/bushing....remove the console slip the bushing over the shaft then a washer over that for a base under the boot center plastic cap....then when I put back on it will come up flush like yours...now see difference what you did..that roush boot allows what i trying to do using that spacer...when flipped upside down it will not fit through that hole...i'll fix

Todaty was first day driving into work with new stick...man I love how you can just rest your hand on the shift ball in 6th cruising.
