maybe a really bad tune would hurt mpg , doubt a better flowing filter would as its easier for the engine to work.
Makes total sense, and that is what I had assumed, but wanted to make sure. So, perhaps a JLT CAI and a new exhaust with no tune for some added performance and sound without a hit on fuel efficiency, or a void in warranty?
You're in luck. Nothing special. I won't do any more recordings until spring. It's just too slick out. You can kind of see it and hear it too, got a little squirly in the second video.
Great videos. I haven't had time to make mine since I put in my JLT but man does it sound great. I saw that you had the Borla X-Pipes on your v6. I have been looking at them for a while now. Did you notice any sound or performance difference? Basically was it worth the money? And as far as install did it use factory clamps or did you have to cut and weld? Thanks

What I noticed with the x-pipe was the growl lowered in pitch. A little more bass to it. Not really sure I noticed much on power. Borla said it adds some torque. I only had it on for a couple days before I added the intake. That made a difference I noticed.

What about as far as install? From what it looks like one end can connect without any welding or cutting but it seems the other will have to be welded once original is cut.

You do need to cut the stock x-pipe behind the cat. They didn't have the instructions online or on in the box so Alvin from Borla sent me this picture. You cut exactly 14" back from the weld on the cat. They include the accuseal clamps to connect at this location, you use the stock clamps on the backside.
