Default Will a tuner fix this?

I have a 2012 with manual transmission, the issue I have, and the dealer says is normal,is when driving hard, the engine seems to float (feels like a sticky throttle cable, but it does not have a cable) at high RPM's before coming down. It only lasts a short time, but feels like an eternity, and makes shifting odd. So what if any tuners can correct this? This car is a daily driver (I have a dedicated race car for adrenaline fixes), and do not foresee any radical mods in the future, so the less expensive the tuner the better

I have a Bama tune and it does help the rpm hanging, but it hasn't completely gotten rid of it. It is much more easy to live with though. Bama may be able to reduce it even further, but it doesn't bother me like it did when it was stock.

It's not a tuner that will fix it; it's the TUNE. Depending on who writes it, it most likely will assuming what you're describing is not a hardware issue.

I'd contact Bama or Brenspeed and discuss it with their techs.

I was told by the dealer that the only way to fix it was to buy a tuner, they sell diablo, but I found it quite expensive for just fixing what I want. Is there any fuel economy gains to be had with a tuner for those who have one?

I noticed about 2-3mpg improvement by switching to a tune. However, that is a combination of the tune and 93 octane. So if you just use a tune or 93 octane alone, expect just a 1mpg increase. A tune really isn't justification to save you gas money, but you do get better gas mileage.

Once you load the custom tune, you will be addicted with the new added power and forget all about saving gas mileage! LOL

As Nuke stated above, American Muscle/Bama and Brenspeed are very reputable companies that offer great custom tune packages.
