How do you like the 3.7 ?

I have a base model with the 2.73 gears in it. I have had it for almost 1 year and i have put 25k miles on it. So far i love this car, it still puts a smile on my face. I havent been out throttled yet and i am not getting killed at the gas pump. at the moment i am getting about 26.5 mpg mixed driving and i am fairly agressive.
this is a very comfortable car as well. It is easy to get in and out of. Mine was built in the good old USA to boot.
I added blue tooth, but the rest of the toys i couldnt care less about. I like all the bolt on mods. I think i will try slightly shorter tires with my gears as apposed to regearing, like someone else mentioned you can still get out in front of everyone even with 2.73s.
i drove a lot of.cars before i bought my 2012 6er.. I have to say it hard to beat for $22k. Sure it could use better tires, springs, shocks, ect. But i was not expecting a $35,000 BMW handling and when i get it the way i like it it will be "the way I like it" for a lot less then a 'fill in the blank' high end sports car. I think it has all the basic elements of a great muscle car plus enough brakes to make it less then lethal.
Its just fun everyday.
IF you think about what you get in a base model for $22k,, over 300hp+ and 280ft#s+, all stainless dual exhaust, LS 8.8 rear end, Disk Brakes all the way around, great gas mileage, 6 speed tranny. It is a great daily driver. I put a lot of miles on and it did not make sense to use up a more expensive car just getting to work everyday.

Got 2012 V6 performance pak, for one year (16k on it now). I also own a Dodge RT Challenger (V8 Hemi). I don't drive the Challenger anymore. The Mustang is a blast to drive. Its a ridiculous value in terms of handling and braking. I would like to have a little more power, but I can solve that problem with the ProCharger (this car at 475 hp will be insane). Also its not the easiest shifting manual I have driven. First gear is rough, however the solution to the problem is to use 2nd to from all standing starts except hills.

Well folks, almost (2) months since I started this Thread. I decided to pull the trigger and picked up a "used" 2012 base V6!
I bought it off a local Ford Dealer so it's also a Certified vehicle. A HUGE selling point for me (well... my wife! LOL!) was the Extended Power Train Warranty of 7 Years and 100,000 miles! As you may know, that is 2 years and 40,000 miles ABOVE a New car warranty!
GREAT reviews you folks submitted as well! I'm extremely please with my purchase!
Every time I drive it, I think what's sitting in my garage, or sitting out in the parking lot at working WAITING for me to drive it, I get a REAL BIG **** eating grin (inside my head!) LOL!
I've been seeing low 30s MPGs on my long commute and it's frigging BLAST at WOT! I love having my cake AND eating it too!
I drove probably 20-25 other new cars during the past few months and nothing really compares to 305HP for $20k! Most importantly, it's a MUSTANG and the rest ARE NOT! LOL!
I did give up a boat load of extras options from my old BMW 5 series (to include, IRS, leather, moonroof....), but again, it's NOT a Mustang!
Oh yea! The PO already powder coated the wheels and tinted the windows out for me!
Here's pics of it.....

Congratulations on your purchase! I see you like yours like I like mine, a 2013 base V6 manual with 3.31 gears in black. Good for you. I've said it many times, if someone can find a daily driver for $21,018.00 out the door, TTL included, that is as quick, fast, fun to drive, and good looking as this car, let me know- I'll look into it. So far, nothing comes anywhere close. Plus, there are more mods than one can imagine if you want to personalize your car, which you've already discovered.
The bang for the buck factor is off the charts with the V6. That's part of what makes me smile, and makes you smile, too.
