maybe check underneath the car for a plastic grocery bag that may have got sucked up off the road.

 

You probably ran over a plastic bag, ive been waiting over a month for mine to burn off my exhaust

 

I never did get to the bottom of this.

 

I noticed a smell when I parked mine in the garage today. I found a puddle of what appears to be coolant under the car. I have not figured out where it is leaking yet. I have looked and can only see the coolant in the plastic pan under the engine. Not able to find the source.

 

I still have that smell from time to time, it has been that way since it was new and I now have over 110k miles, the dealer is no help. There is nothing leaking, no plastic bags melting in there. It has to be something like crank case vapors or maybe clutch vapors?

 

I have the same issue. only when I push the car it smell like something is really hot. I will try do it with windows down. let see if is the same as you.

 

I have a 2014 V6 Automatic and I have that exact same smell. It only happens when I get down on it, to me, it smells like exhaust fumes. I asked the dealer after I bought it in 2016 and they said it was a "break in smell" it had 42K miles on it then... well it has over 62K miles on it and it does it every time I push it hard. It's almost unbearable at times. My car will be 4 years old in June, surely by now Ford has found this problem and addressed it.... huh?
