Default Is drive shaft need?

I have 2011 3.7L I want to change my limited slip differential maybe my gear ratio too. But I am not sure if I need the aluminum drive shaft? As long as don't exceed 125 MPH I believe. Any advice will help.

The speed limiter is set at 114 MPH. This is supposedly because the OEM driveshaft tends to fail above that speed. If you intend to exceed this speed (closed course of course), then get an aluminum driveshaft designed for those speeds.

I have been fine since I had 3.73 gears installed, but I don't drive over 100mph either. With that said, I did use some Christmas bonus money to buy a new DS.

That really depends on your driving style. If you plan on exceeding 100mph with the new gears or even launch the car from a slow roll often- I would highly recommend getting an aluminum one piece driveshaft. However, if you plan on just daily driving the car and doing moderate acceleration without exceeding 100mph, then you should be fine.

Hopefully this gives you a better perspective!

Thanks Shane and Everybody else I had purchased the aluminum DS from American mucsle installed it my self. Saving money now to put it on a Dyno test to see all the money I invested into my mods bare fruits for a total HP at the fly and wheel.

Default Changing that drive shaft is a great big PLUS++++

I hope you noticed the weight of your original DS against the new Aluminum one. The new one is much lighter and with less rotating mass is like getting added horsepower and torque. A very good mid.
