When you tune the vehicle, the ECU is reset. So, you can do the learn process right
after the tune. Using old values with the new tune would not be ideal, so I would think
when tuning, the ECU is reset. Some tuners have an option to clear VRAM or
learned values. After the tune though, when you key on to wait after reconnecting the
battery, the CEL will begin to flash after about 14 seconds. That just means it's not ready
for emissions testing. Wait for the light to stop flashing before starting.

When you get your new MPT tune you will need to set a few things as you load it to your Mustang. You need to know the (RPM) revolutions per mile of your tires. This can be found on your tires web site, they will have a chart. You'll need to put in your rear end gear ratio. You'll also need to turn off the speed limit, I think by law, MPT has it set to 125 MPH. Unless MPT has changed in the last few years. I never mess with the other settings.

I doubt an AM based Bama tune has the capability. AM tends to turn certain features off that the tuners have available. Not sure about MPT and I'm not sure if whatever AM changes on the tuner itself remains locked even if you use a different tuning company.

You should probably contact the MPT supplier and see if the feature you want is available on the tuner you have or if you need to buy the tuner from them.

https://tiresize.com/calculator/

That will tell you revs per mile, any tire size...

Like 235/55/16 is 771 revs per mile. Just use the tire calculator, type in the tire and
you get revs per mile, height, width, and sidewall height.
