Random Startup Problem
Hi!
My car started cranking for longer than normal, so I thought the issue was the battery. I changed the battery and the problem persisted. Since the car already had 98.000 miles, I took it to the dealer and had them change the spark plugs and clean the upper and lower intake. The problem still persists! So basically, the car sometimes takes longer to start than normal and it does it at random, but sometimes the car starts right away. I thought that the problem manifested after driving it during lunch time and then when it came to leaving work it did it, but this morning it did it again and it was worse, the car almost didn't start. Should I have the dealer perform a fuel system service or have them diagnose the car? The issue right now is that all the dealers near me tell me that they are short-staffed and I'll have to leave the car for at least 4 weeks for them to look at it. Any ideas on how I can diagnose the issue? When I turn the key to start, the starter kicks in like normal, but the car takes longer to start. I have no codes. The only things I notice are a loud ac compressor quick and a bit of vibration when the ac is running. Could it be dirty crank sensors? Bad fuel pump? Bad starter?
