Does $900 seem cheap to anyone else? What is the difference between a roller and non-roller block?

It says that it can produce 385+hp. Can I put some heads and a 8-10psi blower on there and still be safe?

TIA

its only a shortblock, you still need the rest of the engine. difference between roller and non roller. roller has a roller came with lifters and bearings and everything. no roller doesnt.

That motor will not produce anywhere near 385 hp even with a great set of heads. The camshaft is restrictive for a performance motor. It also isn't a roller. The pistons are cast which makes it unfriendly to blowers. The difference between a roller and non roller block is that the lifter valley is tapper for a spider tray to hold the dogbones for the roller lifters in place. The lifter bore are also taller on a roller block. That is why it is not a good idea to just tap the block for the spider tray.
