Ok, pretty sure I've diagnosed my problem.

[sm=oopssign.gif]

Pretty sure I have a leaking head gasket on driver side.

1. slight knock
2. mis-fires and backfires
3. spray of water coming out drivers side exhaust ( hmm, no hydrogen car here, i think that is bad )

just took upper intake off, and there was water on the upper to lower gasket
around the EGR thru port, hmm not good either.............

at least its a relatively easy fix and dont have to pull entire motor and send it off

Couldn't get at the head to take it off in the car, so we gotta pull her out, trans and all ..... again..........

Going to take it up to a professional race engine builder and have them tear it apart make sure
nothing was damaged and put all back together correctly this time.

Been raining all week here so she just came out today, got it strapped down in the back
of my truck and take it up to the shop first thing Monday

They have an engine dyno where I'm taking it, so I'm hoping they can dyno it for me.
Need to see if they can come up with a carb intake manifold to put on it though.

Hope so, just depends if they can find a lower intake for a carb to borrow or beg from someone.
