i did a search, didnt find much besides 302 swaps but i found this mustang cheap 98 v6 and i live by a junkyard that has a couple 351's, since u can fit a 351 into where a 302 used to be with no problem besides the oil pan in a 86-93, couldnt i drop a 351 into this mustang, what kind of clearance issues would there be, and does anyone know anything about this swap??

 

With the 98 car you can drop it in. If you go carb'd it is a pretty easy swap. There is a link just above the post that has alot of info.

 

+1, I've been told the motor mounts are in the right place

Carb or EFI you're gonna have some headaches and customizing to "make it work", but nothing impossible for sure.
and of course hood and header clearance is always fun.

 

im getting my lift in a week and i just want to know if i should keep on the factory 83 motor mounts or get new ones. they got about 70k on them, i just dont wanna snap 1.
