351W swap in a 66
This is my first mustang(66) I would like to know if it is possible to put the 351W out of my F250 into my 66, and if so which type of manual trans should I use with the windsor. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could give me some insight on this. Thank you and God Bless.

RE: 351W swap in a 66
If your 66' has a 302 in it now, then yes
a 351W out of your F250 will "drop right in" ....... with
the right oil pan and exhaust.
If your truck is a 94-98 model there is a good chance that its a
"roller cam" block. nice find.
351W and 302 have same engine mount location and
use same bellhousing bolt pattern.
Trans depends on power.
Happy with my Tremec TKO 600 rated for 600 ft/lbs of torque
Stock T-5 trans out of Fox Body 5.0's work too and rated for about 350 ft/lbs.
