stock 351 or mild 408 with STOCK C4 tranny?

stock 351 or mild 408 with STOCK C4 tranny?
would i be able to run a completely stock c4 tranny behind a mild 408w? meaning just an everyday 10:1 comp, stock otb 170cc tw aluminum heads, rpm air gap intake, carb'd, flat tappet and probably changing to a hyd roller cam, maybe on the bottle from time to time for giggles and that's it? would a c4 live or no?
or even behind a completely stock 351 with tw heads or maybe even a set of junkyard 351 heads, stock rods, pistons, crank, cam? and maybe some spray, but i forgot how much the stock pistons can take, does anyone rememer off the top of their head right now? thanks

there are guys out there that make fully built C4s handle 1000+ horses so the stock one must have had something going for it. Just a question if your going to go 408 and put heads on it why not get 200+ ports so you have room to grow and I am sure 11 to 1 comp pistons are no more expensive then 10 to 1. with the intake and cam and stock bottom endyour good to 6200 Rs no problem why not take advantage

the reason for not having a head with over 200cc, yet, is because of funds, i just have to work with what i have for the time being. and as far as the bottom end question, it's already put together and i wanted to be sure i stayed within pumpgas-ability. although i know 11:1 can be just as safe and streetable, i just wanted a bit more security that i could find the gas i needed anywhere i go, especially since i like driving around until the needle meets the needle stop lol
