my 351w build thread!
you could think different and go with one of these:

they claim 1800-8800 which sounds like a stretch, but its a single plane design that just happens to have a divider in the center which would help it off the line. plus, offy's are just badass

With ported Vic Jr. heads on a strip car you are going to want to run a high rise single plane intake...the Vic Jr. is probably your best bet for the money. I wouldnt run a divided plenum single plane, you will want an open plenum for the most undisturbed plenum volume. Run a 4 hole carb spacer if you need to improve throttle response, but that shouldnt be a problem with a strip car because you will have it in the rpm range you need to launch anyways.
Ok guys, I just bought another car. 85 hatchback. This will be my drag car. This 408 will go in ti. Do big deal about fitting under the hood now!
I will Need the best intake for this engine. Using theported vic jr's still! Unless I get a good deal on afr 225 HEADS! iF iget AFR headsthey'll be used!
but I will keep you all updated!

nothing is wrong with it. I just need a car for the next couple months. So I bought a 85 hatchback. I will drive it for the nexct couple months, Then swap rear end, motor, tranny into the t-top. The this 85 will be my drag car (Its a hard top) and the t-top (Which isnt as solid as the hard top) will be my DD.
