The only thing that I was concerned with is the stock K-member heavier. I hear you can save 20lbs easy with a tubular. But then again, im trying to go the cheepest and safest way i can.

Milodon and Moroso makes pans for this swap, I bought mine from summit. The pickup needed a little tweaking to get the clearance to the pan right. I am going with an AJE crosmember which will give me a little more hood clearance and shed some weight. You will have to have a pretty serious t-5 built to last and I am not so sure on a cobra clutch. I went the c-4 route as c-6s make running the exhaust more difficult. I would re-enforce the torque boxes for sure as well as the subframe connectors and make sure they were welded in properly. I would go with long tubes and look into tweaking the rear suspension if you plan on launching it hard. Is it a 4V Cleveland?

I found that hedman makes a set of long tubes for the swap as well. Summit carries them for about $590.

The block I bought is a 72, XY block and the heads are 4V closed chambers. Im going with a C-4 as well ( I have a few C-6s laying around but Im not a big fan...) and I saw those headers from summit...my god $600 for headers that arent even ceramic coated...I already have headers and an oil pan too..trying to find a Strip Dominator intake now..Ill be taking pics here shortly...

Isn't the XY block the aussie block? If I ma not mistaken it was the early nascar block that was heavily modified so they could use it.
