Default 351 cheap buildup

I am going to get my 351 manchined this week. I plan on using the stock heads, just have them cleaned up with new valve seals, thinking about the trick flow efi upper and lower. If crank checks good, stock crank, rods, and maybe aftermarket pistons. Dont know if to get some high compression pistons or not. Get a re ring kit and a nice cam( not sure which cam to get, 79 model engine). Later on when more money is there I am going to buy some heads and have it tuned along with some bolt ons. I would like to be able to beat an ls1. Any ideas about this or should I just wait and do a 408? I would be happy with a 400-500 hp car.........

I owuld just save up and do it right the first time! Go with a 408, Using all forged! Why build ittwice? Especially when you have to throw money into tuning/building the first time, and not being satisfied! (you won't have anymore than 260-280HP), Just sone food for thought!
