Default Swap Problems

I need some knowledgeable info. What complications can i run into emissions wise doing a 4cyl fuel injected to a 351w carbed swap? Will it pass the sniffer? Any other info would be helpful. I live in Arizona btw. I have heard so many different things please help me get unconfused. Thx

Inthe state of PA if the car came factory with fuel injection it has to stay that way to pass. I am not sure your going to be able to fit the egrwithout firewall hammering. Look into your states emmissions laws and check if they have an exemption status. I know you can get exempted here in PA for driving less then 5k miles for the sniffer test, you just have to pass visual inspection then and for that you can rig stuff to look like its on there.

r.barn what do you have done with your mustang? Do you have to take it through the sniffer where you live?

In most states it would fail the visual inspection just because of the carb. It may pass a sniffer test but, if they inspect it probably won't. If you have someone that will hook you up that would help.

here in Delaware, they don't do a visual, as long as it has cats, charcoal canister, and passes emissions you're good to go, i've ditched the injection on a few stangs and went to carb and didn't have problems but every state is different
