i just bought a truck today thats got a 351 in it, its built pretty strong and im going to transplant the motor in my 92 gt... its got a rear sump pan on it, but it doesnt look like the pan thats on my 5.0. will the motor go in my car with this pan or will i haft to buy the oil pan swap kit from ford racing??? id love to save the $$$ and use the truck pan, just dont know if it will go or not.

 

heyjust a heads up to ya...i was doin the same kinda sway but into and 89 coupe..and turned out the 351 that was in the truck was a 351m...and youl run into some problems lol

but from wat i have learned wat u need is a rear sump oil pan..so if thas wat u got u should be in the right direction...now im not sure if the crossmember is the same as an 89 but maybe somone else can back me up..but most likely u should be good...proly will need differnt motor mounts tho
