Default 347 vs 408/428

ok its that time, the ol' 331 stroker needs to come out of the '95 for new rings, but i also want to run either a world products or a boss block approx $2,000 and if i do that im going to upgarde to 347 kit from CHP approx $1,500, also its time to get rid of the off the shelf cam and get a dual pattern or custom cam setup.total aprox $3500-4000

the other option is use my 351w block sell the 331 stroker. machine work etc approx $600? 408 or 428 stroker $1,600. with the new 351 id be required to do the 351 swap including oil pan, distributor, intake manifold, exhaust headers etc approx $1,600? still around $4000

i want to keep my d-1sc procharger either way ill be upgrading fuel and cam setup. right now im at 582rwhp hence the time to upgrade to a stronger block. im not going to elaborate with prices right now its like 1 am so if anyone wants to re-evaluate here please do, also comments and suggestions would be appriciated.

ps whats the hp/torque rating on a 351w block obviously its stronger then the 302 but by how much if the world products 302 block will support 1,000 would that be the safer way to go?

The World blocks are some Nice blocks. I used a good many of their Merlin blocks and used one of the 8.2 Man-O-War blocks. If You are going for big power thats the foundation I'd want.

The stock windsor wil start to see its limits around 800 hp, you will have issues with the 2 bolt main caps walking around, you have very high bearing speeds with the 3 inch main, you can do some machine work and run the 2.750 mains to help bearing speed, but still have to deal with cap chatter and movement. Build a 363 inch, forget the boss block. Use a world 4.125 x 3.400. The world block will easily handle 1000

after sleeping on it these were my thoughts, i priced it out for a dart block its approx 2,100, world producs approx same same price, i will most likely stay with the 302 base. stroker kit around $1,600 to $1,700, man o'war blocks dont list anything larger then a 2.749 main.

probly run a chp kit similar to this, im currently running flat tops but i think id like to run a lower compression for some more boost . http://www.coasthigh.com/product-p/10662-dm-f347.htm

you think the trickflow Track heat R would flow enough air for this new engine, if it will it would be simple to just swap it onto my new motor, going the 347 route i think will be simpler as i have most the parts already as far as assembly on the top part of the engine, it will mostly come off the 331, distributor, intake, msd, fuel rails etc.
