Default lowering springs

what kind of springs work the best? i am looking into buying a set of Eibach sport line springs. does anyone know how well these work or any kind of suggestions will be greatly appreciated. will the sport line kit be to much for 17" cobra wheels? it says that they will drop the car from 1 3/4 to 2 1/4. i bascially am wondering if these springs will drop the to much. don't want the tires to rub. on the rear of the car i have nitto nt555r 275/40 and on the front i have bf goodwrench g force kdws 245/45. thanks for the help
