well the 351w that i bought is a 95 long block with about 92k on it...it looks in really rough shape and i havent cracked it open yet. the owner sold it to me for $75 and he said the reason for him swapping was because the spark plugs and exhaust manifolds are rusted on. im not too worried about it because when i rebuild it im just redoing everything. but i really dont want to do a forced induction because i feel it might be a more expensive path to take. so i was thinking higher compression with TFS or AFR heads...custom cam and an RPM air gap or victor jr intake. then of course all the goodies to go with....suspension, electrical, etc.

i would say 500hp to be safe on the rod's
800++ on the block

and i wouldn't trust the piston's past 400 to be honest.


BUT, i dont know much, just going off what ive heard. Hopefully a 351w guru will step in.

 

well, i'll go off your mark unless someone else says different. yeah cast pistons are trash
