Default 408 Stroker eventual build.

Hey guys, I might be building a 408 that will go in a 69 fastback...
If it's a go, I'm getting the car next week and I will ship it to its owner in Belgium after I install the engine.

Now, I have set of AFR 185 heads (brand new) that I ended up not using on another project...

My question is: Will that 408 mill be starving/limited somehow with 185 heads and a Victor Jr. intake?
I get mixed answers from local engine builders and my feelings say I'll be OK for 450hp with it, although I know that 205s be better.
Anyone built this combo before?

Oh I forgot... An X cam would go in there as well.

185's are too small for a 408 and DO NOT put in a X cam in that thing. There are much better cams out there. You would be better off getting a bigger set of heads and a custom cam once the rest of the engine is together. Get the motor together, then the cam and then the springs that match the cam.

All right then.
I'll have to find another use for those heads...
As far as cam, it has to be user friendly for daily driving so I'll ring Comp Cam when and if, I get there.

Thanks for the reply.
