Hi guys i'm currently in the middle of swapping the 5.8 into my 90 foxbody. But i've noticed some differences that are not addressed in the swap section that i'm just curious about.
One thing is on the oil filter base has cooling lines running to it? can i just remove base? or just leave lines unplugged?

Engine from 96 f150.

 

That is an extrnal engine oil cooler typical to those F150 engines. It uses an FL 420S oil filter, when removed it uses an FL1A oil filter.
