good advice i know it's not a cheep hobby i bought my car for 800 and now have arround 4000 into it (including the purchase price) the debt thing is why i said down payment im not in a rush by any means id like to gather as much of the required things and take my time. Shes my daily driver now but i want to move on to something nicer maybe slower (yes slower lol) and slowly but surely rebuild this car
P.s. thanks for signing anyways when you knew you'd ship what mos are you?

I would also strongly urge that if you ARE indeed dead set of building this car, take a LONG time to do it. But do yourself a favor, and find an Econobox... quickly!

If you decide to buy your econobox when you get to your first duty station dont buy it from the dealer right outside the gate(seems like every base has one). Im not going to say all dealers right outside the gate are shady but alot of them are. They know when GIs get paid and get shipments of auction cars on the 14th and 30th of the month. Then GIs run in and buy them on payday. A month or two later the auction special starts having problems the GI cant aford to fix.
This is just a problem that i have seem alot of guys go through. I would recommend sticking with a reputable dealer, craigslist or the lemon lot.

It really depends on his mos and when he deploys not if.
If gets himself on the fast track he will only need 6 months and if he stays in Germany just give it up for atleast a yr
Then again everybody is different and I'm talking about 1992 lol I do know the signing bonus is a little iffy to believe and I gotta wait 6 months doing ng duty before I go back full time and I got so many waivers I could choke a horse!
Ok got a little carried away but listen to what has been said you will change and change your mind a billion times while in so start slow
