PDA Tuners

RE: PDA Tuners
sounds like a good idea, I plan on getting a PDA and if I had known they they were in existance I probably would have just gone with that instead of the XCalII, but I was lookin at the options on the XCalII and it is pretty BA. We should really all get together on here and do a post about what are the best settings for the XCalII since a lot of us have them. I may still do that PDA thing if the software is better than the XCalII

RE: PDA Tuners
I have been looking at OBD-II software and connections for my PDA. i saw a pretty cool one that had a blue tooth connection, which would save you from ugly cables lol. they are just readers, no tuners though. I wish you could use something better to tune the car (just for cool factor) lol. I know some of my friends with asian cars have tuners they built that they can adjust on the go (which is really cool lol). My buddy with a wrx has a boost control (sweet huh?)

RE: PDA Tuners
I say no. If I am flashing my car, I want a dedicated device, tested to work flawlessly with my car. PDA's are fragile little devices running multiple software, crashing constantly, full of weird side effects from all the crap loaded, etc. I can just see flashing my car with a PDA that crashes or get interrupted, and hosing my computer to the point where it can't even be flashed.
I'll stick with the XCal2. I have been burned by PDA's too many times (just look at a TREO 650 to see how much fun it is to integrate a phone and PDA... locks up constantly whenever you even a few things loaded).
