Default Continuous Improvement?

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed after installing a tune in their car that the performance got better over time? I'm not talking about the initial install, I'm talking about a week later. I've had the 91 octane tune in since we got back from Hawaii, and Friday night my wife and I were coming back from dinner, and on a rural road (we live on the edge of the city limits), I burned out about 20 feet using the brake to hold the car for about a second at the outset (I have an auto). I had my foot on the brake, pressed the gas pedal to the floor and released the brake. The tire started to break loose as the gas pedal hit the floor, but once I released the brake it was like dumping the clutch. It just smoked it! It's not done this before. The acceleration also seemed better, as I stayed on it for about a quarter mile. I should say my wife drives the car more than I do, so maybe it's just because I hadn't driven the car for almost a week. I dunno. She thinks it runs better with the 91 versus the 93 tune, and after Friday night, I'd have to agree. Anyone have a similar experience?

Supposadly after every time you tune it takes the computer a while to adjust to the new setting as the old ones are cleared. I guess that could result in a slight performance increase. I've noticed my gas milage has slowly increased since I tuned, not enough tanks to be 100% sure its not just the randomness of real city driving though.

Other thing to remember as summer is winding down the temps are cooler (at least where I live!) which will definitely improve your performance!

You guys could be right. It is about 10 degrees cooler (90-92 compared to 100-102). I hadn't considered that aspect. I'll keep any eye on the mileage also. It seems to have improved slightly. Whatever the cause, it's a right foot bonus in my book.

Many thanks.

Okay...but no street racing...It's wrong, wrong, wrong! LOL!

Everything was better in Hawaii. 9 days...8 nights...paradise! I'm sure there was some residual effect. I can't wait to go back.
