RE: Forced Induction - True effect on car's long term general reliability
LX200, you might consider installing the 8.8-inch rear end out of a GT. If you can get one from a manual transmission GT it will already have the 3.55 gears and they are all LSDs. The rear end swap will require you to replace the yoke on the rear end to mate up to your driveshaft, and since you have an 05 you may want to think about getting a good aftermarket driveshaft as well.

with the torque that youll throw out at the 7.5 rear end i see no problem its gonna hold strong. But i agree a new driveshaft is a good idea one day ill buy one right now i just dont need one too bad

Great info to everyone. I'm sorry I have nothing to add but the knowledge I gained. I will add this to LX if you take care of the car and have the F/I done right the first time it should work out for the best. Besides if you do get a new hobby by fixing it every 1000 mile you'll be an expert and be able to answer these questions.

Well... I've got 11,000 miles on my Vortech (40,000 on the car)... No sign of any problems yet... and I do not drive it conservatively... I'm actually pretty hard on it... LOL!
