Default Fine Tuning Engine?

A gear head at work said he had read an article (on the 4.6L) about getting aprox 20hp gain just by adjusting the rocker-arms. Idea is that They are assemled within tolerances at the factory but not perfect.
What do ya'll think? Any good manuals out these for the 4.0L?
BTW... I really like this forum. Got some good ideas for my new V6.
After tiniting the windows, it'll be a GT take-off exhaust. Then come B-day, Xmas time I'll shoot for the T.I. cai/xcal kit.

What the article stated was the you could get 20 hp by adjusting the degree of the cams, on a 2v. In other words degreeing the cams......settings both sides of the engine to the same compression.
