FYI: spark plug gap
Recently I pulled a couple of the plugs out of my '05 4.0. I noticed that the gap was really wide and suspected that the plugs might need to be replaced. Before I did that, I wanted to find out what the proper gap was for the factory plugs. All the parts store guys could tell me was the recommended gap on aftermarket plugs (the Bosch plug says do not gap) and since they couldn't evenorder the Motorcraft plug, I was a little Leary about taking their advise on what the correct gap should be. So I went straight to Ford. They said that the proper gap was from .052 to .056. Although the gap in my plugs was toward the higher end, they were still within specs. Just thought I'd pass this on. Plug 5([:@]). almost blew my damn motor due to that. I installed platinum 4's and it broke of all 4 electrodes in the damn hole. not sure what happened but i though i had a bad install on a set of plugs. i felt stupid as hell. Now it might not be my fault. Awesome.

RE: FYI: spark plug gap
Well i just sent a pm to ronaele and told him this it should be pretty close to right and if its a little off please feel free to jump in and correct me.
Ahhh the #5 sparkplug (not the plug its the hole)
"Haha well if you are a no life stang junkie like me youhave herdthat ford has a history of having plugs crossthreaded right out of the factory not only in mustangs but in alot the F series trucks and others. Now in our car (the 05-07 v6 mustang) the #5 plug and plughole seam to be the problemchild. I have sat through many stories of people who say that they get their plugs replaced and the #5 piston is not fireing or even worse they get their plugs changed and the #5 plug is shot right out of the threads. In other cases i have heard that the problem was noticed and they had to get their plughole retapped( had the threads replaced if you didnt know) The #5 seams to be a nightmare and i cant wait to replace my plugs when its time."

RE: FYI: spark plug gap
That's interesting. I used to have a '73 'stang with a Cleveland. One day while driving down the highway, it shot a plug out. Man, what a noise that made! The car sounded like a 2 cylinder John Deere tractor, and loud! It scared me so bad, I almost stroked out when I heard it! I know that this is a little off the topic, butI couldn't help rememberingit. Whew!
