RE: speed/HP
welcome to mustang forums!
anyway, to answer your question, I'd go with a cai/tuner combo.
there are a few websites around that sell the bundles..I'll let someone else give you a list...because I don't know many of them, and the one I do know is filtered for some reason >.>

Mike lots can be done with a little check this out here to read about what to do and you can find lots of stuff hereon how to do it all.
Cold air kit and tune is the easiest and there is axle back exhaust as well. We have got great rides with tons of potential, don't hesitate to go to other forums for info or do google searchs too.
I hope this helps......

RE: speed/HP
you're car is limited to 115MPH, so unless you tune it, it can't go faster. if you're going to tune it, i'd suggest getting a CAI, i'm planning on getting a C&L. an exhaust will help too. getting nos and a forced induction is about 5 grand i think and for me, thats too much power.
with a few simple bolt ons you'll increase your HP and acceleration for less than 1000. i personally would rather keep up with a GT than to pass, and i think all thats really needed is to push out around 250-270 hp at the crank to do it.
