Yeah...but mods are mods and if you mod something from it's original state then it becomes customized...Even if all the mods are the same.

have you messed with wiring before? i transplanted a 91 v6 into a baja bug, using the ford FI and DIS, and it was ALOT of electrical work.you are talking about OBII, (well, CAN actually) with alot more wires, many with very specific resistance values, its just not worth the risk or work, for no real gain, IMO

Critical is in the eye of the beholder. The PCM is heavily shielded and likely been put through the ringer with regards to heat tests. The only question everyone asked is what is the value in it? Will this mod equate into improved performance? Is the amount of time, money and frustration worth the expected benefit? I say give the mod a try, document your findings and let us know the results.
