Default K&N Drop in Filter

Noob here, just bought a used 2006 V6 vert. Been looking through the forums, great info and discusions here. I put in a K&N drop in and something changed. My throttle response is slower and the exhaust sounds quiter. Is this normal? Eventually I want to put a CAI and tuner. Do the tuners need to stay connected to the car or is it just an upload and disconnect thing?

I did that, and didn't notice any difference at all. I'm sure others with more experience here will have a better answer for you.

I had a K&N drop in filter. Didn't notice a dang thing. The only difference it made was my fingers were oily when I finished whereas before they were dry.

Like the posts above me, I also did not notice any difference when I added in the K&N Filter aside from getting like +1mpg.

As far as the tuner is concerned, it is just a load and unplug type of thing. There is no need to have it constantly connected.

Figured it out I think. I was running 91 oct prior to putting in the K&N and had just filled up with 87 oct before I made the change. Once I go empty I'll put 91 back in and see what happens.
