Has anyone dyno'd duals? There's not a little gain with that farely bigdecrease in backpressure? That's a little weird if there isn't then. It may not be logical, but dyno's don't lie!
didn't you JUST try to tell me that you need more back pressure than lt's make to make good power on an n/a v6?...

Going duals isn't necessarily going to greatly decrease backpressure, and backpressure is not the only force at work here. Going with a catted h/x pipe over a single axle back exhaust system will show little to no gain on our cars, BUT if you get rid of the cats you should gain more, especially with other mods (i.e. intake, tune) Keep in mind though, you are adding a good 50ish pounds in piping when you go duals so a 5hp difference is not worth the cash because you will likely end up being just as fast as you were.

Thanx, I'm talking duals not lt headers! there's a bigdifference between forcing air out quicker and giving it more room to leave. After everything, I'll only get an 8-10rwhp gain from the headers. But I've lifted all the exhaust parts and I thinkI'll only gain about 20-30lbs over the stock set-up and probably 5-10hp from the duals and h-pipe over the single hi-flow muffler ifI'm lucky. But the sound difference alone willbe worth it!

lol @ "Envious of the Supras Power"

Anyways, the only way to "force" more out is to put more in. 20 from the exhaust on a N/A car is a long shot, it is even a lucky goal on an F/I car....unless comparing to the complete stock system with a stock muffler.

Well I just had the pypes true dual system installed on my car about three weeks ago and there is definentally a noticable difference in low end torque, but I almost can feel a slight increase in the higher rpm's. I just ordered the JLT intake and tunes from bama though so I'm really hoping to pick up some power.
