JBA headers and SCT X3
Ok first does any one have the JBA or Mac headers, and do they make the exhaust sound alot better, because i have heard that they do not do much performance wise unless you have a supercharger or turbo which i wont ever be able to afford. Second i have not seen any one talk about the new X3 tuner, yall think its going to be good or at-least as good as the X2... and do you have to do much tuning yourself with the tuner because i am a pretty smart guy but have not had any real life experience with it. if you got lost heres a question recap...
1. Do the headers make the exhaust substantially deeper and throatier??
2. Chip have very noticeable gains?
3. Do i really have to tweak it a lot after i get it?

RE: JBA headers and SCT X3
1. if anything you might have better air flow, but I doubt you're gonna see really noticeable gains. as far as sound goes, I've read that the JBA setup is not really much different from stock.
2. a lot of guys both on the gt and v6 forums seem to be overall happy with their investments in a TUNER (not a chip), and supposedly they're really easy to use and update/install and retrieve new tuning files. I don't believe there is really much of a difference between the xcalII and III, except the III might be more newer car compliant???
3. i don't think you have to tweak it, but you're most likely going to want to change some things to make the most out of your investment i would imagine. most tuners come with canned tunes that are an overall improvement from stock but aren't exactly utilizing the full potential of your car's setup, and a lot of people seem just fine with those in a DD.
hope this helps [8D]
