Default duel exausts?

I have a 2005 v6, with the stock muffler and pipes, and I was thinking of upgrading to duel exaust. What are the pros and cons of duel exaust, and what are the best systems?

As I understand it gooing to dual exhaust will give you a slight hp gain, better looks and more volume vs stock. A single free flowing exhaust will give you a hair more hp gain over the duals. I stayed single and went withan mrt aeroturbine axelback kit and got the sound I was wanting. I admit duals look better but its up to what you realy like.

It's almost entirely for looks.

Yep, duals are mostly for cosmetic reasons......I love the way they look and sound!

As far as best systems, you'll get many different opinions here much like asking which is the best color. I have Pypes X-Pipe and to be honest, if Ford had offered their setup when I was looking for duals, I would have gotten them. Yes, Ford is more expensive BUT their quality is far superior than most of the other set-ups. I am happy that Ford does use the X-pipe in their kits.

Here's the link to Ford's exhaust kit;
