7.5 is just fine. 8.8 recommended if you plan on adding some MAJOR power and take it to the track.

as far as which gears you want, first explain what you want out of your car, your style of driving and future plans. 3.73 was perfect for me since i just wanted a quicker DD street car even though 3.73's put down very nice times at the track. love my setup .

ok i just added the c&l and the tuned to my car now i also wanna do do the gears ima order the package that was posted here what should i go with 373 or 410s and one more `question people keep telling to upgrade to the 8.8 rear is that necessary or would our stock hold up fine
an 8.8 really isnt needed, for the same price you can put a detroit or eaton in the 7.5 and it will be stronger then a stock 8.8 (which still arent evenTHAT strong), plus the 7.5 is a good 50lbs lighter

break in period recommended by the shop that did mine was 300 miles.

as far as shops in LA area, don't know but i'm sure there are some good ones in O.C. somewhere. if you dont mind making a trip up to ventura county then Coast Driveline & Gear is a VERY good shop. MMR is also located in Ventura and they are the ones that referred me over to Coast Driveline.

if its too much out of your way, call mustang shops in your area and ask them who they recommend. good luck.

I just got my t-lok and 373 Motive gears installed today. My rpm's were still pretty low in 5th gear at highway speeds(80mph @ 2300rpms). So now I wish I would've gone with the 410's. The 373's did make a difference, along with t-lok and re-tune, but I think the 410'smight be a little better.
2300@80mph?.....doesn't sound right dude. thats about what i was doing with stock 3.31's. i'm at almost 2500rpm's@70mph and i got 3.73's also. did you adjust your tune on your programmer for the correct gear ratio?
I did retune my car and now I'm at 2800 at 80mph. Its much quicker now also.
