What would it take todo a transmissionswap for aGT takeoff trans??? I am just curious really, may consider doing it but haven't decided yet.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated......

So you have an automatic now? And want to put a manual transmission from a GT in?

No, I have the stock T-5 manual transmission that the 4.0 comes with and was just wondering what it would take to replace it with the t-3650 manual transmission from the GT.

unless youre gonna be puhsing some high numbers the t-5 will be fine... and then you should put in something a bit beefier than the t3650... but if you insist haha... youll need an adapter plate and will you need that pinon flange for the d/s or not?... i think if you go to an aluminum d/s while youre at it you wont nee the plate... i may be wrong tho... someone else will be better suited to answer that

Sell the V6 and buy a GT that has the tranny you want.
Otherwise you will have a bastard stang that no dealership will touch.
More work than its worth, but to each his own.
