I know im really bothering you lol, but now im confused. Its says the frpp gear fits all mustangs except v6. But the reviews on it act like the people used it on a v6 anyways. So will they fit my v6?

The rear in the 4.0 is 7.5" and the 8.8" is for the 4.6 GT. You need the 7.5" gear. I'm pretty sure Ford isn't offering the 3.73 anymore in the 7.5" gear, so you may have to go with an alternate brand if you can't find it from FRPP. Motive seems to be the second most popular.

There is the Two main parts of what you will need. You will also need the friction modifiyer or some rearend grease with it already in it. It wouldnt be bad to get the other seals and bearing kit for the ring and pinion either. If you get a professional to do it, it should run you about 200 plus like 25 for the bearings and seals and stuff for it. If you have anymore questions shoot me a PM. I got a TLock I done my own so I will help if I can

Cost for installation varies. I paid $350 for installing 4.10's and a t-lock LSD in my 7.5" rear. The price was kinda on the high side, but it was a from shop I trust for gears.
I had that rear in my 4.0L/5-spd coupe, and then swapped it into my wife's 4.0L/auto vert before selling the coupe. The 4.10's were great in both cars, regardless of the transmission. But I ended up blowing out the t-lok after too many launches at the track on drag radials. Now her car has a stock rear in it from a member who installed a 8.8" GT take-off rear, which suits her car fine - I don't race it anymore. That's what the SSP is for!

3.73 frpp gears and a t-lok. frpp does not make 4.10 gears for the 7.5 anymore; you can go with yukon, motive, or richmond if you want 4.10s. i heard richmond gears are straight cut and will whine no matter the install; apologies if this is misinformation on my part, only passing along what ive heard (gear whine is no fun, i lived with it for 2 months).

they are not "supposed to" if installed correctly. my motive 4.10s whined HORRIBLY but the guy that installed them was an idiot (took him 9 hours and 3 tries, worst gear whine youd ever hear).
ive got frpp 3.73s now and they are silient; they were installed at a differnet shop so i cant really compare.

They are not supposed to but I have a buddy who is getting his motives put in tommorrow. He was supposed to get it done monday but they had to put him off. The shop that does them knows what they are doing so if the motives whine then I will know here in a day or to

OK. i will probley get the motives if they have no whine. Also, ill get the ford racing LSD and the oil. When he gets the motives installed just tell me if they whine at all. Hopefully thats all i need.

FRPPs are not available in 373's anymore for 7.5"? Wow.
Only thing I'd STRONGLY RECOMMEND is to really think through with what your plans are for the far in the future. If you plan to put a turbo or supercharger on some day, take the time and do the rear end right the first time. If you put a trac-loc in and gears and later put in a turbo or supercharger, you may be changing the rear end components again. The trac-loc on the 7.5" (v6s) is not very strong.
But if you go with an eaton true-trac instead of a Ford trac-loc, you'll be good to go, regardless of what you do!
So if you can swing the extra 200-250 for the Eaton, do it!
Also, relating to the gear choice, if you ever plan to go turbo or supercharger, just do 3.73s now and not 4.10s. You'll go through 1st gear too quick with 4.10s with turbo or supercharger!
