My dual exhaust cost me 132 but did all the work myself and lots of swap meet and ebay shopping. I even have a pair of the FRPP rear bumper cut outs in that price. I like the looks did not really notice any change in sound. I did try a set of california special mufflers with the rolled tip and did not like the sound or the mileage and both sets of mufflers were off manual trans .

so forgive my ignorance - what you're saying is the (single) GT Exhaust (http://www.newtakeoff.com/mustang_gt...less_pair.aspx)

can directly replace the existing V6? I've never had to replace the exhaust muffler before so is it easy?

Got my GT takeoffs free......driverside hangers free.....bolts were 2 dollars
A shop fabbed my over axle pipes and H pipe for 110 dollars.

So I got a full dual exhaust with H pipe for 112 dollars

Did the cutout on my own too!

Love the sound.....not too loud, not too quiet.....I will be switching to mac's or GTA's somewhat soonish lol
No drone really either.

I'm also going to make muffler delete pipes for when I feel like being loud a heck lol

Yes....takes about 10 minutes a 13mm socket, a 15 mm deep well socket, and a ratchet or ratcheting wrenches in those sizes.

4 bolts hold the muffler hangers
1 bolt holds the muffler to the rest of the exhaust.

the hardest part is loosening the clamp that holds the muffler on. it took me almost an hour to get it all done, but i could do it again in less than 15min if i had to. every thread i read i have read about MT vs AT, there are lots of people who claim MT sound better and there are just as many who say they have listened to side-by-side comparisons of Stock GTs with both mufflers and can hear no difference. To add to the confusion, i rencetly ordered GT take-offs from ebay and while i requested MT mufflers, the part numbers matched the AT, however, the inside of the mufflers matched that of the MT muffler pictures posted here.

they sound fine and for $50 shipped, how pissed off should i be? here is a transcript of the messages i sent when i found out the part numbers were different. i am speedbearings btw.

Dear speedbearings,

The mufflers are EXACTLY the same anyways there is absolutely no difference in them at all i have probably sold 300 pairs of these and never had a problem with Manual or Automatic.
