From what i remember from reading (correct me if i'm wrong) the H-pipe is better if all your going for is better sound, as it gives it more of a rumble

If you're happy with the sound now.....then I wouldn't waste the money, but if you're wanting a more mellow sound.....go with the H pipe....(cheaper and sounds better imo)

the h pipe will give you a good, healthy "v8 like" rumble. an x pipe will actually help with performance tho cuz it smooths out exhaust flow and helps promote cylinder scavenging. but it kind of sounds ricey. take it from me, a guy that's run NUMEROUS exhaust setups on his car. i just wish i had vids to post up

thanks for the help. i was leaning towards the x pipe for performance but i hate that ricey sound. the videos ive found aren't selling me either way because most of them are just people revving their cars in the driveway and some of them are way more ricey than others but its hard to tell the difference between the x and h pipes. but i could do an h pip on the exhaust i have for dirt cheap and see how it sounds. but this brings another question does it matter how far back the crossover goes?
\thanks for all the help. im learning a lot about v6s.

But cost 8 times as much as muffler delete pipes....

Crossover pipes are not needed on the V6 because of the
symetrical firing order.
The V8s benifit from it because of the uneven firing order...
They make V8headers that do the crossing over themselves.
Crossover pipes on a V8 are the poor mans crossover headers.

I have been driving without a muffler on my 4.o 6er and a few coworkers said it sounds kinda like a flathead.
