Hi gang. My wife has an 07 V6 auto and I cannot find anything concrete in the owners' or service guide as to mileage interval for tranny service. Also, is filter and fluid replacement recommended, or just a flush? Thanks in advance.

And you won't find anything concrete. Most shops and mechanics are more concerned about supporting their families and they'll tell you 30,000 miles. Then there are those like me that say don't fix it if it ain't broke and to MAYBE service it at 100,000 miles, unless you're really tough on the tranny; then maybe 60,000 miles.

Power flushes have been known to occasionally CAUSE issues by forcing particulates into the valving. IMO, a good shop will know how to perform a flush properly.

Expect a large variance in opinions.

I plan on 60K for my Auto but I also drive it a little hard.

Scheduled maintenance guide has many references to check fluid level on
dipstick. Of course we don't have one of those.
The 4F27E and CVT trans get their fluid and filter changed at 60K according to the book.
We don't have one of those either.
Then it says consult dealer for your particular requirements. Ya right.

If she's not hard on the trans and it's not leaking or acting strange I would
leave it alone.

Hey 157 I got the book out of that little compartment in the passenger side.
I was expecting to find gloves in there but there was a soft black zipper case
with books inside. haha jk 157.
